Sally Baker gave an outstanding performance in the sunshine at Sunday’s Silverstone Half Marathon by winning the ladies race in a time of 1hr 26mins 42secs.
Fellow tri club member and first timer for a half marathon, Mike Wheeler completed the 13 miles in 1hr 45mins 33secs.
Two members took part in the Dambuster Duathlon at Rutland Water on Saturday, which was the National Duathlon Championships and a qualifier for the ITU Duathlon World Championships. Both had to complete a 10km run, 42km bike section and then a 5km run. Sam Anderson achieved 5th in her age group (25-29) with a time of 2hrs 25mins 1sec. Stuart Hopkins came 14th in his age group (35-39) with a time of 2hrs 6mins 7 secs.
Lastly, Helen Childs took part in the Mick and Phil Half Marathon event at Draycote Water on Sunday and achieved a finishing time of 2hrs 2mins. The race forms part of Helen’s training preparation for the Silverstone Marathon on April 29.
