ORIENTEERING: News from the Droobers

Several top runners score maximum points in West Midlands League

Several orienteers from Coventry and Warwickshire club, Octavian Droobers, scored maximum points in the West Midlands league. The club were in third place before the event at Brereton Spurs on Cannock Chase, organised by Walton Chasers Orienteering Club, and these good results should help the club move up the league. On the Blue 6.57k course Bob Brandon M60 completed in a fast time of 62.38mins and Lesley Ross in W40 69.14mins. Daniel Kotecky M16 51.37mins, Roy Lindsell M65 46.42mins, Rachel Emmerson W14 49.07mins and Sheila Carey W60 55.08mins all came first on the Green 4.46k 185m climb Green course.
