CYCLING: Phil Cooke Challenges 2011

The ‘Phil Cooke Challenge Ride’ will revert to its original slot in the year (weather permitting) on February 20, 2011.

The event details and the opportunity to pay on-line (£2 less than paying on the day) are on the website www.challengingtimes.org.uk.

The 100km ride next year will be a little different in that participants can choose to start from either Dunchurch Village Hall or Jack’s Hill Cafe (north of Towcester on A5) and the on-line registration form will facilitate that choice.

In addition, due to the success of this year’s event, we are going to re-run a Challenge ride/Sportive on the same circuit on September 4.

This will be called the Two Counties Challenge Ride and will be run to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care. It raised over £2,000 this year on this inaugural ride. For those wishing to enter this event now, the on-line registration form will enable cyclist to do so via its drop down menu options. All registrants will receive confirmation of their registration and payment.

Both events are being limited to 500 participants and if these numbers are not reached we will be taking on the day entries.
