PICTURE SPECIAL: hundreds of pupils compete at games festival at Rugby leisure centre

Hundreds of school pupils from across the Midlands came to Rugby on Thursday and Friday to compete at the Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire Sainsbury’s School Games Festival.

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Centre hosted the prestigious festival for the first time.

More than 1,200 primary and secondary school pupils competed at the festival. Events include swimming, football, netball, rowing, boccia and modern pentathlon.
