With the weather wiping out the action for all clubs in the area for the second week running, Old Laurentians will be facing a busy and demanding schedule over the rest of this month and through March.
Their Midlands semi-final of the Intermediate Cup at Stoke on Trent has now been re-scheduled for Saturday, February 25. Lutterworth and Stafford will be meeting in the other semi on the same day.
This means that the much anticipated league clash between OLs and Newbold is now most likely to be played on Saturday, March 17.
Subject to other results in the meantime, this means that mid-March will be a critical period for both clubs, potentially defining the season for each.
As well as the OLs/Newbold clash, both clubs have to play league leaders Barkers Butts, all in a three week period from March 10.
Currently Newbold hold a two-point advantage over OLs and are four points behind Barkers.
This Saturday, Newbold have a tricky encounter with Silhillians but enjoy home advantage; whilst OLs entertain Pershore and will start as firm favourites against the Worcestershire side, who are second from bottom of Midlands 2 West (South) with just one win to their name so far this season.
