Home games for Newbold, OLs and Welsh

The town’s rugby teams prepare for the second half of the league season with varying prospects.

In Midlands 1 East, Newbold are currently third while Old Laurentians are still bottom, but continuing to improve with every game.

This weekend Market Rasen & Louth are the visitors to Parkfield Road, while OLs host Ilkeston at Fenley Field.

Rugby Lions are fourth in Midlands 3 West (South) just three points behind leaders Old Coventrians, who are their opponents in a crucial away game on Saturday.

In the East division, sixth-placed Rugby St Andrews have a trip to bottom club Old Newtonians.

And in Midlands 5 West (South) Rugby Welsh will be keen to build on their excellent start to the campaign which sees them in third place, when they host Copsewood at Alwyn Road.
