Lions without a game as Warwickians fail to raise a side
It was a great clean sweep of wins for all of Rugby’s teams in the league on Saturday.
In Midlands 2 West (South) unbeaten leaders Old Laurentians beat Banbury 15-12 and Newbold beat Malvern 44-10. OLs are now three points ahead at the top of the table on 34 points, but Newbold move into second place on 31. Banbury are third on 29 with Malvern fourth on 28.
Rugby St Andrews are fifth in Midlands 3 East (South) thanks to their 18-10 win over struggling Daventry.
And in Midlands 5 West (South) Rugby Welsh maintained their strong start to the season, with another win, this time over Wellesbourne 17-8. Although they are fourth in the table, Welsh are just one point behind leaders Birmingham Civil Service who have 20 points while Wellesbourne, next week’s opponents Alcester and Welsh all have 19.
