Rugby Lions have been thrown out of the league for next season, after they failed to meet the RFU’s deadline to repay all rugby-related debts owed by the company Mike Aland set up to run the club.
Mr Aland has not been speaking to the Advertiser to explain the situation. BUT former chairman David Owen, who we believe still owns the club, is holding a meeting - open to anyone interested - at the Webb Ellis Road clubhouse on Tuesday (28th) at 8pm.
Mr Owen will give details of the situation and what the way forward may be. It is likely there will be play of some sort at Webb Ellis Road next season in the form of friendlies.
