Defeats for OLs, Newbold and Saints

Old rivals Kenilworth were the visitors to Fenley Field on Saturday and beat Old Laurentians 31-23 to go fifth in Midlands 1 West. OLs have been struggling with injuries this season and after a good start with two wins, have been looking for a third since the end of September.

In Midlands 2 East (South) Newbold had a bad day to suffer only their second defeat of the season, going down 11-3 at Market Harborough. Although they are still second in the table, unbeaten leaders Leighton Buzzard are now nine points ahead.

Rugby St Andrews put in their worst performance of the season too and went down 38-3 at Daventry in Midlands 3 East (South). Daventry are now fifth in the table and Saints seventh.

There were no games in Midlands 5 West (South) but Lions won a friendly with Hinckley 2nds 30-0.
