Wet weather causing backlog of fixtures

Saints’ rescheduled league game against Mens Own on Saturday was again a victim of the weather due to waterlogged pitches.

A worrying backlog of league and cup fixtures is now building up, giving Saints a demanding weekly schedule right through to mid April, starting with a visit from third placed Stewarts and LLoyds.

The Corby outfit have lost only two games this year and have the league’s meanest defence, conceding on average fewer than nine points per game. Saints will need to maintain the good form which toppled Vipers and knocked them off the top of the table if they are to reverse the away defeat when an injury ravaged side lost to scores late in the game.

The earliest available free date for the twice postponed Warwickshire Shield semi-final against Pinley has now moved to the end of March.
