RUGBY: Semi-final weekend for Newbold and Lions

Rugby Lions host Sileby Town in the Midlands Junior Vase semi-final at Webb Ellis Road on Saturday, kicking off at 2.15pm.

Lions are unbeaten league leaders of Midlands 4 West (South) while their visitors are mid-table in the equivalent East (South) division.

Newbold have a trip to Northampton Old Scouts for their semi-final of the Midlands Intermediate Cup, kicking off at 2pm. It should be an exciting game, with Newbold second in Midlands 2 West (South) and their hosts top of Midlands 2 East (South).

Old Laurentians have a free week and return to maintain their title challenge as unbeaten league leaders of Midlands 2 West (South) on January 31 when they will host Old Leamingtonians.

Rugby St Andrews are also taking a break, but their second team are hosting Long Buckby in the Rugby & District Clonmel Cup competition.
