Toughest games so far for unbeaten sides

Midlands 1 East league leaders Newbold’s game this weekend is one not to be missed and promises to be their toughest so far. Second-placed Old Northamptonians will be the visitors to Parkfield Road. ONs have been beaten just once and are five points behind Newbold, who have a maximum 35 points from seven outings.

Over in Midlands 2 West (South) Rugby Lions also have a potentially thrilling encounter this Saturday. Leaders Spartans visit second-placed Lions at Webb Ellis Road. Both teams have won all five games so far and are level on 24 points.

Sixth-placed Old Laurentians will welcome eighth-placed Belgrave to Fenley Field. Both sides have won three from five games so far in a very tight Midlands 2 East (South).

Rugby St Andrews travel to Woodrush for their Midlands 3 West (South) game. Having recorded their first league win of the season against Old Wheatleyans last weekend, Saints are ninth in the table and Woodrush one place below.

Rugby Welsh, who are fourth in Midlands 5 West (South) host second-placed Birmingham Civil Service at Alwyn Road.
