Old Laurentians game abandoned after an injury to a visiting player

Old Laurentians welcomed Market Bosworth in a re-arranged Midlands One league game, but an unfortunate injury to one of the visiting players led to the game being abandoned after about 25 minutes.

Their third team travelled for a friendly against Birstall and lost out 22-14.

Waterlogged pitches resulted in the postponement of both the weekend’s big cup games for Rugby Lions and Newbold.

Lions will now host Cleethorpes at Webb Ellis Road in the Midlands Junior Vase semi-final on February 22.

Newbold were due to host Staffordshire side Leek in the Midlands Intermediate Cup semi-final.

Rugby St Andrews’ rescheduled league game against Mens Own was also a victim of the weather.
