Victory for Newbold, OLs and Lions

It was generally a very good weekend for Rugby’s teams competing in the RFU Midland Divisions.

Newbold beat local rivals Lutterworth 45-24 at Parkfield Road in their Midlands 1 East game, making it three wins out of three to stay top. This weekend they are away to Market Rasen & Louth.

Over at Fenley Field Old Laurentians were successful 33-18 against Oundle in Midlands 2 East (South). OLs are second in the table, level on nine points with Oadby Wyggestonians.

In 2 West second placed Lions travelled to Leamington and came home with a 41-7 win and in Midlands 3 West (South) Rugby St Andrews just missed out 21-20 at Manor Park.

Rugby Welsh were without a Midlands 5 West (South) game this week.
