Victories for all five teams

It was a great weekend for the town’s rugby teams again - with a clean sweep of league victories.

In Midlands 2 West (South) league leaders Old Laurentians left it until the seventh minute of injury time to secure the points at struggling Old Coventrians.

Second place Newbold are now level on points at the top after their bonus-point win over Old Yardleians 65-5 at Parkfield Road.

In Midlands 3 East (South) Rugby St Andrews, in fourth, triumphed 40-15 away at Queens.

Rugby Lions maintained their 100% record in Midlands 4 West (South) beating Five Ways Old Edwardians 15-78 in Birmingham.

And Rugby Welsh moved up to third place in Midlands 5 West (South) with their excellent 41-0 win over Coventry Technical.
