RUGBY: Southam beat Ledbury

Convincing victory

Southam 51 Ledbury 3

Southam had earmarked this fixture against Ledbury as a must win game this they did in convincing style.

This game was rearranged due to being cancelled earlier in the season due to frozen pitch.

Ledbury travelled up to southam unfortunatelly knowing there season is over and also their Mids 3 league status this being due to mainly all there first 15 dissapearing early in the season and therefoe leving them to rely on the lower ranked players however credit must be given to these as they never once gave up and hopefully them playing the remainder of this season in this league will give them good heart to rebuild next season and get a swift return to this league again.

Southam however started this game wanting revenge for there earlier deafeat in the season to ledbury in fact ledbury's only win and once the first try was scored it was inevitable that a fair few could be scored in fact southam managed eight tries, 1 drop goal and 4 conversions more was possible if cetain decision making was better however 51 points were settled for. Southams points scorers were Jim Frogley,Gaz Royouns, Will Lyne, Andy King, Jamie Constable, Marc Constable, Ed Ellis and Roger Killick, killick also adding a drop goal and Russell king added 4 conversions. Ledbury's only consolation was a penalty.
