SKIING: Princethorpe College
Princethorpe College's Under 16 Girls' Skiing Team have won the West Midlands Ski Association Challenge Trophy.
The dry slope challenge was held at Telford Ski Club with eight schools taking part. Times were taken from three individual runs with the fastest three times added together to give them the winning position.
The team, comprising Year 7 Thori Ingles, Year 8 Robyn Doherty and Year 10 Loren Ingles and Sophia Phelps, are moving from strength to strength with their training. Sophia Phelps also took second place overall.
Head of Princethorpe College's Academic PE, Chris McCullough said: "This is a fantastic achievement. Dry slopes are not easy to gain speed on so they performed really well. The mix in age groups in this team worked in their favour with their individual experience coming to the fore.'
