Rugby Town could have Seb Lake-Gaskin and Craig Kelly back in contention for Saturday’s crucial top of the table fixture at Burnham.
The two contract players have missed out on recent games with foot and groin injuries respectively, but boss Dave Stringer is hopeful they will both be available selection at the weekend.
Second place Valley continued their good form without them though over the past week, racking up 3-0 and 7-0 wins against the bottom two teams in the division - North Greenford and Woodford.
Their push for promotion was also boosted with the announcement that the Southern League have now awarded Town the victory from their recently abandoned game at Royston. Royston have 14 days to lodge any appeal, and if they don’t within that time period then the Central Division table will be updated to include a 1-0 Rugby win. Assuming those three points are indeed Valley’s, they would then be level with leaders Burnham – and just a goal adrift on goal difference. Godalming are back in third - six points behind, but with two games in hand on the top two.
Town have now recorded seven consecutive victories and will hope to be able to avenge for the defeat in the reverse fixture between the two clubs back in November.
The club coach to Burnham will leave Butlin Road at 11am. Contact Tony Mann on 07970 691366.
