Rugby Town JFC has joined forces with Strachan Football Foundation to provide the opportunity for talented young players in the area to take their football to the next level for the 2012-13 season.

Trials for the club’s new Midland Junior Premier League Development Centre teams will be held over the Easter holidays.

The Strachan Football Foundation will provide coaching, video and match analysis and individual player development programmes.

The club has registered with the MJPL and will enter teams from under-12 to under-18 on Saturday mornings with training twice a week.

Dan Elliott, education and marketing director of the Strachan Football Foundation, said: “The MJPL provides the platform for young players to test themselves against teams with similar attitudes and ability, the league itself has been the springboard for many players who have gone into professional academies.

“We intend to give our players the best possible chance of fulfilling their dreams.”

The Strachan Foundation has already put on a number of discounted holiday courses on at the Kilsby Lane training ground and has 40 under-ten players attending a skills school on Friday evenings.

If you want to be a part of the Rugby Town JFC’s new MJPL Development Centre open days will be held for each age group from April Monday April 9 to Friday April 13 from noon to 4.30pm each day at Kilsby Lane.
