ARMED with just a chainsaw and a bucket full of imagination, artist Andrew Frost has begun is amazing 25-foot tree scuplture.

He hopes that in two weeks, the whole tree in Winfield Recreation Ground will be turned into a totem pole of literary characters dedicated to former Rugby school pupil and famous author, Lewis Carroll.

Already he has made room for the Mad Hatter and hopes to add other famous Alice in Wonderland characters over the next few days.
