Rugby Theatre

Mother Goose

Until Sunday

Review by Leasa Marriott

MOTHER Goose is sparkling pantomime fun at its very best.

Although the main Christmas pantomime season maybe over at many theatres, the fun has only just begun at Rugby.

This classic tale of Mother Goose performed by a large and talented cast made up of young and old alike is an excellent show.

As well as being hugely entertaining for the children, there’s also plenty of fun for the adults too.

The audience participation, including a silly song, was brilliant and all the cast were superb, particularly Steve Bradnam who played Mother Goose.

My personal favourite was Fairy Happiness (Michele Marsella) with her Essex accent. When I asked the children who they liked best one said Silly Billy (Tom Leaper) and Priscilla (Chrissie Hill), while another favoured the Demon Discontent (Garry Hill).

Expect plenty of fun and laughs at this pantomime, which is a great treat for all the family.

There are two days left of the show so, there’s still time.
