Ol’ Rosie supported by Tan.Trum

Review by Tony Wilding
Sharing the bill were two bands who regularly appear together in the region and are followed avidly by many.
Opening with an explosive start were four-piece Tan.Trum who narrowly missed out to winner Eve Singleton in Rugby’s Got Talent 2013.
Next up was Ol’ Rosie - a five-piece covers band comprising a tight rhythm section with Richard Smith (rhythm guitar), Dan Nightingale (bass) and David Lee on drums. Lead guitar Andy Dove and vocalist Pete Plumbley also led the audience with consummate ease.
They kicked off with a stunning rendition of Foxy Lady to near conclusion with an ecstatically received Rock and Roll All Nite.
This is the most exhilarating I’ve seen Ol’ Rosie or Tan.Trum perform.
