Rugby Male Voice Choir holds its Charity Christmas Concert at St George’s Church, Hillmorton on Saturday December 10 from 7.30pm. Tickets £7, including refreshments. Proceeds to the Mayor of Rugby’s chosen charities, the Oral Health Foundation and Rugby and Area Talent Trust.

Classical crossover singer Mary-Jess, who shot to fame after winning the Chinese version of The X Factor, performs at New Life Church, Railway Terrace, Rugby on Sunday December 18. Mary-Jess has had a highly successful career; including singing Abide With Me at the 2012 FA Cup Final, supporting Russell Watson on his UK tour and being asked by the UK Government to represent The Great Britain Campaign and the music of the UK in 144 countries around the world. Mary-Jess will perform two 40-minute sets of modern songs of worship, songs from her debut album Shine and from her forthcoming Christmas album, as well as traditional hymns and carols. The next public open day at the Rainsbrook Valley Railway will be held on Sunday December 18. This will be a Christmas themed event. Gates open 1.30pm with trains running 2pm to 5pm.
