Another spectacular panto at Kenilworth theatre

A FUN-filled and colourful adventure begins at the Priory Theatre in Kenilworth tomorrow (Thursday) as the pantomime season gets into full swing.

This year the company has chosen the traditional family show, Dick Whittington, which runs until Monday January 2.

In what the Priory team promise will be “another spectacular” Christmas production, the familiar tale sees Dick Whittington set on a journey towards London to find streets paved with gold.

Along the way, Dick meets a very friendly cat whose talents of ridding the house - where he has been taken in by Alderman Fitzwarren and his cook - of rats earns Dick the love of the beautiful Alice Fitzwarren.

Unfortunately for Dick, this also angers King Rat, who creates some unpleasant situations for Dick and his cat, sending them away to foreign lands for more adventures - and on to a fairytale ending.

Director Mark Jefferies said: “What an incredible cast we have for this spectacular production. From our young actors and actresses through to our principals, every person involved in Dick Whittington has ensured that it will be the very high standard now expected at the Priory Theatre.”

For tickets to the show, call 863334 between 2pm and 8pm and for updates about the show, visit the Priory’s Facebook page or follow the theatre on Twitter.
