Art at Kenilworth wine shop
A PLAYFUL but melancholic exhibition of paintings and drawings is being showcased at Kenilworth Wines shop for the rest of the summer.
Kenilworth-based arts organisation Brink has brought the work of Stratford artist Andrew Christopher to the shop in Talisman Square, where it will be on display until the end of September.
A mix of acrylic on canvas and pen and ink drawings, Andrew’s works combines imagery of children and animals in what appears to be a macabre dance. A consistent narrative runs through the series, relating to childhood, storytelling and games - and although fun to look at, the artwork does have darker undertones.
