Arty gifts under hammer at Leamington charity auction

A LEAMINGTON-based art group is auctioning a large selection of original works and prints to raise funds for Myton Hospices - just as the Christmas shopping season begins.

Paintings, prints, photographs jewellery and ceramics by members of the Association of Midland Artists will be up for bidding at Victoria House in Willes Road, Leamington, on Wednesday November 28 from 6.30pm.

There will also be artist-made greetings cards and gifts available for purchase before and after the auction.

Organiser Katharine Barker said: “I’m especially pleased to be including a charming and colourful print, Leamington Houses by Clive Engwell, and to be supporting such a deserving local charity.”

The Association of Midland Artists is made up of painters, printers, sculptors, potters and photographers and members come from Warwickshire and surrounding counties. There are regular meetings in Leamington with artist and designer/maker guest speakers.
