The 2020 Southam Book Festival is going online this year.

Organisers are not letting the pandemic get in their way have put together sessions and Q&As with authors, as well as a programme of videos which can be viewed from October 5 on their website - southambookfest.co.uk (no booking required).

The sessions with authors are free, however, booking is essential as they are using Zoom and numbers are limited. Book via Eventbrite from www.southambookfest.co.uk.

This year's speakers include local writers Andrew Davies and Kit de Waal.

Tues Oct 13 at 7.30pm – A Romantic Fiction Forum

Wed Oct 14 at 7.30pm – Ben Lamb

Thurs Oct 15 at 7.30pm – Julia Tedd

Fri Oct 16 at 7.30pm – Alexander Larman

Sat Oct 17 at 4pm - Brian Pollitt

Sat Oct 17 at 8pm – Anna Lawrence Pietroni

Sun Oct 18 at 4pm – Kit de Waal

Sun Oct 18 at 8pm – Andrew Davies

In connection with the festival, the organisers also ran a 'flash fiction' competition.

The competition closed on September 5 and they had 261 entries from all over the country and a few from further afield.

The shortlisted writers are expected to be announced on Octpber 10 and the winner on October 18.
