Entertainer will bring Piaf’s story alive at Leamington’s Loft
The “hugely inspirational” French singer Edith Piaf will be paid tribute to in a one-woman performance about her life coming to the Loft Theatre in Leamington.
International cabaret entertainer, singer, comedian and actress, Sally Jones, is bringing her show No Regrets - played in the third person, rather than being an impersonation - to the theatre on Sunday September 7 at 8pm.
Sally, who will sing in a French accent all Piaf’s well-known songs including La Vie En Rose, Mon Dieu, Milord and, of course, Non Je Ne Regrette Rien, said: “Edith Piaf is still a huge inspiration even 50 years after her death. She embodies the spirit of French survival and I believe her musical style is as powerful today as it was 50 years ago.”
