Head to Henley in Arden for bank holiday music fest

Rock, pop, jazz, folk, jazz and tea dancing will feature in the first Henley Music Festival, which takes place at venues around the town for four days over the August bank holiday weekend (Friday 23 to Monday 26).

Funded by Warwickshire County Council and sponsored by businesses in the area, the event will be launched on the Friday afternoon with an open air ceremony led by Henley in Arden’s town crier, and will then, over the course of the weekend, bring the talents of more than 45 artists and buskers to the fore.

There will also be a family fun day at Jubilee Gardens on the Sunday afternoon, featuring the Celtic Clan, Millennium Eagle Jazz Band and a children’s clown. Other festival highlights include Britain’s Got Talent saxophonist Julian Smith, Andy Bennett from Ocean Colour Scene and Nick Drake tribute act Keith James.
