Inspiring Leamington venue showcases talent

A VARIED array of works in different media by artists from across the Midlands is being showcased at Bath Place Community Venture in Leamington.

Members of the Association of Midland Artists are also offering the exhibits for sale.

Among them is Katherine Barker, who organised the display. She said: “This is an exciting showcase for locally produced art by established artists. Bath Place, based in the Old Library, is an inspiring venue to exhibit in with loads of historic links.”

The AMA is concerned with the production and appreciation of contemporary art. Painters, sculptors, printmakers and potters are encouraged to join, exhibit their work and enter local and national ‘open’ competitions.

AMA organises annual shows in Trinity Church in Leamington and meets ten times a year in the Baptist Church Hall to hear a programme of speakers.
