Norwich rockers keep it clean for Leamington gig

OUR-piece Norwich rockers The Kabeedies will play at The Prince of Wales’ Bread Club night as part of their UK tour this winter.

The band describe themselves as “a suspicious gathering of some boys and a girl” and have a varied list of influences such as Blondie, Bombay Bicycle Club, Buddy Holly, Black Flag and Chuck Berry.

Their second album Soap, which is the follow up to their 2009 debut Rumpus, will be released soon.

Fab, the group’s drummer, said: “We Originally thought of Soap based around the idea that the second album was a catharsis for all of us, effectively washing-off what we had done with Rumpus and starting again.

“And with this catharsis we were able to express ourselves properly and in a slightly more sophisticated way through songs like Bones and L.T.”

The gig takes place on Saturday February 25.
