Rumours fly in farce at Kenilworth theatre

LEGENDARY American playwright Neil Simon’s popular farce Rumours is given the English treatment next week at the Talisman Theatre in Kenilworth.

Originally set in New York, the writer reworked his script for the English stage - and now the amateur dramatics group in Barrow Road is relishing staging the cunningly-plotted makeover.

Fittingly enough one of the cast members is American too. Michelle Williams, who was born in Texas, takes the role of English solicitor Chris Bevans, one of a group of eight people attending a party at the home of a high-flying Treasury official.
