After working with the design team from Cirque Du Soleil in Montreal in Canada, Playbox’s directors are now opening training sessions in acrobatics - including tumbling and human pyramids; aerial skills - including using silks and double and triple trapeze; and balancing skills - including low tightrope-walking and using stilts and a unicycle.

Young people will also learn how to juggle with a variety of objects and the art of clown performance and musical technique.

Meanwhile, Playbox’s own circus skills show Wonderia, which was performed by young members at the Houses of Parliament in London last year, has been expanded and will be performed at the Dream Factory in Warwick later this year. Details will become available nearer the time of performances.

Circus training takes place on Tuesday afternoons, with sessions for children from the age of three up to over-13s. To find out more, call 419555 or visit www.playboxtheatre.com
