A night packed with laughs which has toured all round the world is coming to Staverton Village Hall next month.

The comedy presented by the Kepow Theatre Company is called On the Edge and stars Kevin Tomlinson.

It will be performed from Friday, June 5, at 8pm with the doors opening at 7.30pm.

The show has been described a comedy about all those moments in life when we are on the edge!

The improvised comedy show has previously been to the far flung locations of Hawaii, New Zealand, Singapore and Bali.

In the style of Whose Line is it Anyway? this improvised comedy show will put a smile on your face and a spring in your step, even though it’s not quite the summer.

Having performed all over the world, Kevin is fast becoming internationally renowned for his unique and exciting performance style.

The show explores such topics as the first time we fall in love, leave home or achieve something important in our lives. It received five star reviews and a standing ovation at the Edinburgh Festival.

It will be performed by Kevin working alongside Abi Hood.

Kevin, who taught improvisation at the National Theatre in London, previously performed alongside Jonathan Pryce, Tony Slattery and various members of the Comedy Store Players in the Royal Court Theatre Benefit Show for charity at the Hackney Empire.

He co-founded Kepow Theatre Company in 1991 with Paul Jenkins while they were both studying Drama at the University of Hull.

Together with the help of Abi Hood, they have turned Kepow into one of Britain’s leading mask and improvisation-based theatre companies.

The Paramount Comedy Channel has described Kevin as “a young Robin Williams, due to the enthusiasm and electricity he exudes”.

The Herald Critics Choice, at the Edinburgh Festival said about Kevin: “He creates magical comedy theatre. A wonderful, dynamic show.”

A spokesman for Staverton Village Hall Committee, who have organised the entertainment said: “We are proud to offer you this great opportunity to see a truly unique show, from a truly unique performer who really is “On the Edge”.

The show has been bought to the area by Northants Touring Arts, an organisation which aims to bring top quality entertainment to rural locations across the county.

The organisation has bought a number of shows to Staverton including most recently Shoo Shoo Baby which sold out.
