Alumet are poster boys for the town

JEREMY Wright MP was guest of honour when an award-winning Southam construction firm opened its doors to the public last month.

The Kenilworth and Southam MP visited walling, window and facade maker Alumet’s open day to judge a school poster competition, learn about the firm and its sister company EOS Energy’s scheme to fit free solar panels around the town.

Alumet was founded by chief executive Gary Summers in 1993 and now employs 120 people at its headquarters and manufacturing site in Bourne End.

Mr Wright said: “It’s great to see manufacturing companies thriving. Alumet has done well over the years because it is an energetic and innovative organisation. Not only does it provide employment for more than a hundred people, it is also very involved in the local community.”
