MP marks National Apprenticeships’ Week

AS part of National Apprenticeships’ Week, Warwick and Leamington MP Chris White visited international photo service company CeWe Color this week to meet its latest trainees.

The MP wanted to observe the training being given to Brent Robertson and Andrew Moss who with help from the company are both working towards a City and Guilds Level 3 qualification in photography in conjunction with Warwickshire College.

Mr White said: “I’m delighted to have had the opportunity to see some apprentices in action.

“This is a very good programme working closely with Warwickshire College - I’ve heard some very positive feedback from the apprentices and wish them luck in the future.”

David Farrar, CeWe’s head of operations, added: “It is vital we have committed employees with a flair for the business, so we decided to look at the apprenticeship route and take on keen, enthusiastic, switched-on individuals with no experience, but who we could mould.

“With youth unemployment rates growing all the time, our scheme demonstrates our drive and commitment to addressing this issue.”
