Pat has her glasses and hearing aids from the branch where she has been a customer since 2003. “I recommended Scrivens to my sister and treated her to the same hearing aids as I have because I was so pleased with them,” she added.

Branch manager Sarah Cave said: “Our revamped store looks great so we wanted to mark its reopening in style.

"Pat has entrusted her eye and hearing care to us for many years so she was an ideal choice to launch it. She loves coming here, likes to talk to us and even treats us to chocolates at Easter and Christmas.”

The new-look store features the latest digital eye examination equipment and a new and updated range of frames, including the latest designer names.
