Solicitors move into Leamington as housing market picks up

The move, in the current difficult economic climate, comes at a time when some organisations are being forced to downsize.

But as the housing market picks up and new businesses are poised to move into south Warwickshire, the partners believe now is an ideal time to spread its wings.

Seymours partner Tarsem Sangha explained: “Warwick District Council aims to provide space for more than 6,000 new homes and find 22 hectares of employment land under its local plan, which will spark a rise in demand for conveyancing and commercial issues.

“A larger population will also lead to a greater need for legal advice on matrimonial and inheritance issues and employment law, all of which are covered by our team.”

The latest new recruit to the practice has been appointed with a specific remit to tackle the anticipated increased demand for commercial law expertise which will be generated by the influx of new businesses to the district.

Consultant solicitor Simon Newbold will be focusing on commercial business and property, employment law and licensing for SMES across the district and will work closely with commercial property agents and accountants.

He said: “With employment expected to expand by 11 per cent across the district in the next 15 years with a net increase of 10,000 jobs, local companies need to be ready to handle the often complex legal side of running a business.”
