Two popular Rugby fish and chip shops have teamed up to offer residents a tasty Cypriot-style lunch on Sunday, April 11, and all money raised will be going to the charity Hope4.

Fish Plus owner Andreas Kattou and Fishsmiths owner Dee Gregoriou are hosting the event from 12pm to 5pm at the Fishsmiths shop on Main Street in Newbold.

Andreas and Dee have gone to great efforts through the pandemic to raise funds for good causes and ensure that the needy are fed.

And the two have now teamed up to raise funds for Hope4, the Rugby charity which works across community, providing shelter, advice and food for those in need.

Andreas said: "Every single penny we raise will go straight to Hope 4."

The menu consists of souvlaki, a traditional Cypriot dish which includes meat roasted on skewers.

Andreas said: "This Sunday's menu includes beautifully cut chunks of pork, gorgeous marinated Piri Piri chicken and the well-loved Cyprus cheese Halloumi - all cooked to perfection, sizzling over hot lump wood charcoal.

"All served in a Cyprus Pitta with Salad slice of Lemon and the delicious Tzatziki."

The meat for the lunch has been sourced from the Rugby-based Joseph Morris Butchers Ltd.

The two have also promised that, should enough be raised, they will parade through the town centre in a rabbit and bear costume.
