Four people have been fined tonight (Thursday) for breaching Covid rules in Kenilworth - and one of them works in a care home.

Police spotted four young adults travelling in one car so they stopped the vehicle.

A police spokesperson said: "It very quickly transpired that none of them are from Kenilworth, they do not live together and actually live with other people so they cannot form a bubble, there were no face masks worn and they weren’t out for exercise.

"Shockingly one even works in a care home."

All four were issued fixed penalty notices.

The spokesperson added: "These are unprecedented times and we are collectively dealing with a national health emergency.

"Everyone has a part to play and blatant breaches such as this put lives at risk.

"The message is a simple one, please stay home and save lives."
