Staff raise funds in hellishly good cause

GHOULISH goings-on were in a good cause at Tesco in Warwick when around 150 staff donned creepy costumes to raise money for Cancer Research on Saturday.

Customers appreciated the effort put in by the Halloween-themed event, which helped raise more than £480.

The day was part of a year of fundraising by staff at the Emscote Road store which is hoped could reach at least £5,000 by the New Year

It was organised by colleagues Matt Middleton and Kate McBirnie. Kate, of Chase Meadow, said: “We had some great feedback.”

Future events include a food collection on December 1 and 2 and a three-day static bike ride, also in aid of Cancer Research.
