RUGBY will be trembling to the sounds of Full Metal Racket tomorrow night (Friday) at the town’s biggest metal night.

As ever, Full Metal Racket, which will be held at the Vault nightclub off Little Church Street, will be showcasing some of the UK’s fastest rising underground stars.

For the first time the line-up for the night has been chosen by the fans after an online poll asking for the town’s metal faithful to vote for their favourite acts who have performed at Full Metal Racket since it was launched.

As a second bonus the night will involve four bands playing on the bill, giving fans a chance to really get their teeth into the action.

In addition to the winners of the poll, new Rugby noise merchants Arceus will be making their Full Metal Racket debut.

The results of the poll are as follows: Birmingham based death metallers Kataleptic, grind masters Atrocity Exhibit (fresh from their European tour) and the headline act will be Morgue Orgy.

Michael Rogers, one of the event organisers, said: “In recognition of Full Metal Racket’s growing success and reputation for bringing high quality bands to Rugby and the reputation that metal fans now have for being the most passionate and energetic around, night headliners Morgue Orgy have agreed to perform in Rugby as part of the new EP release and subsequent tour. The new EP and tour is called Murders Most Foul and will see the band scale new heights of success within the scene. So if you love heavy music and fancy a great night out come down to the Vault nightclub and bear witness to Full Metal Racket.”

Entry is £3 and the event is open to anyone over the age of 14.

ID will be required. Doors will open at 7.30pm.

All proceeds raised during the evening will be donated to the Warwickshire Association for the Blind.
