Debbie wins new MINI First in charity raffle

Debbie Fahey from Birmingham is now the very happy owner of a brand new MINI First.

Debbie won the car in a raffle at the annual Joseph Foote Charity Ball held at the Hilton Metropole at the NEC earlier this year.

The MINI was the main prize in the raffle and was donated jointly between the Sytner MINI Midland dealers and the charity.

Debbie, who was very happy to support this worthwhile cause, said: “I couldn’t believe it when I found out I won.

“I was just happy to make a donation; I hadn’t expected to win! I’ve always wanted a brand new MINI so I am over the moon picking it up today.”

Sytner have been supporting the charity for several years and many of the employees were at the charity ball when the MINI was being raffled.

The relationship began when the charity was known as The Joseph Foote Trust.

Andy Foote, a long-standing Sytner customer, set up the trust when his son, Joseph, was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour at the age of two.

In April this year, the trust joined forces with Brain Tumour UK to create a new, larger charity. Together they are better positioned to raise funds and support patients.

Debbie picked up the MINI from Sytner Oldbury.

Dealer principal, Malcolm Chambers, said: “We had no hesitation in supporting Andy and the charity ball again this year.

“It’s wonderful to be able to do something positive to support people suffering with this terrible debilitating condition. It felt great handing over the keys to Debbie. I’m sure she will love driving her new MINI.”
