Confident buyers boosting property sales, says agent

Estate agency Atkinson Stilgoe (part of the Connells Group) in Kenilworth reports that increased numbers of buyers looking to purchase a home are having a positive impact on property sales in 2013 so far.

According to figures from the agent’s national network, Connells has seen almost 20 per cent more prospective buyers registering an interest with its branches in the first five months of this year.

This has resulted in an upturn in property sales which is great news for anyone looking to sell their home.

In May alone, Connells recorded an 18.5 per cent increase in the number of potential buyers compared to May 2012.

Encouragingly, May also saw a 13 per cent increase in property sales compared to the same month last year according to Connells’ figures.

Roger Simpson, branch manager for Atkinson Stilgoe, said: “Activity has certainly ramped up in 2013 with more confidence from buyers. I would urge anyone who has been thinking of marketing their property to take advantage of buyer activity at the current time.

“We are seeing a range of buyers come into the branch, from first-timers to retirees, so we need more homes to fulfil this high level of demand.”
