THE Mayor of Rugby was the guest of honour at the opening of Rugby’s newest charity shop.
Cllr Don Williams joined shop staff and volunteers to celebrate the opening of the British Heart Foundation (BHF) Furniture and Electrical Store in Rugby’s High Street on Wednesday last week.
The new shop sells quality second-hand furniture and electrical items which have been donated by generous members of the public who have donated everything from suites, sofas, chairs, dining sets, beds and wardrobes plus an array of electrical items including TVs, Hi-Fis, washing machines, fridges and dishwashers. A free collection service for large items is also available.
Nigel Marston, area manager, said: “We are delighted to welcome the Mayor to the opening of the new BHF Furniture and Electrical Store in Rugby.
“So far we’ve had a brilliant response from the local community and we’re hoping that people will support us by coming in to have a look at all the bargains available.”
