The sounds of the Somerville
MUSICIANS have helped a pub celebrate its reopening following its £80,000 refurbishment.
James Knight and The Swaps and Kelly Elliot and Shanade Morrow, who perform as Bass, Birds and Beats, took the stage last week to mark the completion of the work at the Somerville Arms in Campion Terrace, Leamington.
The work has included a refit of the cellar, the installation of an oak floor and restoration of the fireplaces and bar in order to revitalise the Somerville’s Victorian character.
Paul Blatchley, the pub’s licensee, said: “Given the work we’ve done we wanted to host a really special evening.”
