The Villagers’ Choir, directed by Samantha Plumbley, sing at St Peter and John’s church in Clifton Road on Saturday August 6 from 1pm. They will present a diverse concert with various styles of music from Tudor to pop. Members of the Villagers’ Choir are drawn from the parishes of the Revel Benefice. Refreshments are available in the church hall from 12 noon to 12.55pm. There is a retiring collection after each concert for church funds. Rock covers duo Travolta’s Plane play at The Bell in Hillmorton on Saturday August 13 from 9pm. Guitarist Danny Sullivan and vocalist Lee Jones will be performing material by the likes of Van Halen, Green Day, Deep Purple, Mud, Blink 182 and original songs.
