MUSIC

Pink Floyd tribute act Dark Side of the Wall play at the Benn Hall, Rugby on Saturday March 12 at 8.30pm. Tickets: £12 in advance or £14 on the door. Call 533719 to book.

The world-renowned Trinity College Choir from Cambridge and their conductor Stephen Layton will be performing at St Edith’s Church in Monks Kirby on Saturday at 7pm.

The Zephyr Band, Rugby: New members welcome. The Zephyr Wind Band has been playing in the community for the last 10 years. Rugby Theatre presents Ladies in Lavender, adapted from the 2004 film of the same name. The story is set in Cornwall in the mid-1930s and is about two ageing sisters whose lives are turned upside down when they discover a young man washed ashore on the beach, close to death. ART AND EXHIBITIONS

Rugby School’s Lewis Gallery hosts the Coventry University Drawing Prize 2016 exhibition. The scale and themes are many and varied, from landscapes and portraiture to works of vivid imagination and invention. Non-traditional approaches to drawing are equally embraced, so this year three dimensional works and films are included along with complex computer generated drawings and transport design. The exhibition runs until Wednesday March 23 and is open Monday to Friday from 1pm to 5pm.

The Midlands Garden Rail Show is being held at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre, Fosse Way on Saturday and Sunday. The exhibition will showcase 13 layouts, many of which are new to the exhibition. The Gauge One Association will have a coal-fired Flying Scotsman on the Saturday and a spirit-fired Flying Scotsman loco on Sunday running on their layout.
