An underground fault caused 700 homes across Rugby to lose power this morning (Thursday).

An electrical fault underground caused 700 homes to lose power just after 9am this morning.

Engineers were immediately sent to fix the problem.

Jocelyn Honeywood, spokesman for Western Power Distribution, said: “Around 700 customers have been affected by the power cut. We sent engineers out straightaway to restore the power supply to everyone. Everyone should now be back on and the engineers will continue to fix the underground fault.”
