There were smiles all round when a new map of Binley Woods was unveiled to mark the village’s 50th anniversary.

Resident Linsey Cleaver was commissioned to produce the work, which is a bright and lively representation of Binley Woods. Parish councillor Ken Short said: “We’re not an ‘olde worlde’ village – we wanted a modern village image to carry forward. Linsey was given a brief and we are thrilled with the result.”

Unveiling the work, Rugby MP Mark Pawsey said: “Villagers will be able to enjoy the painting for many years to come.” Linsey added: “I was thrilled to be asked to do it.” Village children also contributed ideas for the map.”
